OLEV Grant Funded Charger Installation
Discounts of up to £500 are available for home charger installation, and vouchers are available for workplace charger installation.
What is the OLEV Grant?
Earth Electrical is one of the companies authorised by the Office for Low Emission Vehicles to install home or workplace chargepoints. For homeowners, we will sort out the paperwork for your OLEV grant under the EV Homecharge Scheme.
For workplace chargers, you can apply for a grant or voucher using the forms on the OLEV Website.
Do I qualify for the OLEV Grant?
There are some eligibility criteria to qualify for the grant under the OLEV Homecharge Scheme. The main criteria are:
- There is a requirement for private off-street parking, and this must be associated with the property where you live (rent or own).
- You must own or lease an eligible vehicle - most electric only or plug-in hybrid vehicles are eligible.
- The date of installation must not be more than 4 months ahead of the date of delivery or start date of vehicle use.
- The grant must only be claimed by installers which have been authorised by OLEV and have approval from a chargepoint manufacturer to install their accredited equipment. Earth Electrical is authorised by OLEV for the installation of Rolec charge points.
- You can claim the grant once only, or if you own 2 electric vehicles, you can claim for a 2nd charge point.
What is the value of the OLEV grant?
Under the OLEV Homecharge Scheme, the grant is a 75% contribution towards the cost of one chargepoint and its installation up to a maximum of £350 (including VAT) per household/eligible vehicle.
